Synopsis:

A group of biologists accompanied by a mysterious guide set off on an expedition to the Salta Mountains in northern Argentina, searching for a sighting of an elusive breed of Andean bear.

Along their way through the dense forest, they reach a remote village where they hear rumours and later gather evidence from terrified villagers about their encounters with a humanoid creature, half bear half man, a growling monster, said to be evil, and known locally as El Ucumar.
